Job Description

Cloudcode PNG Limited is seeking a motivated React Web App Developer to join our team in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. This role is an excellent opportunity for young developers between the ages of 18 and 25 who are eager to apply their skills in creating modern, responsive, and user-focused web applications. We are looking for someone with proven experience developing at least one functioning web application using React, with 1–2 years of hands-on development experience.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. We value developers who are diligent, loyal, and competitive, and who are genuinely inspired by technology. While formal academic qualifications are not required for this role, they will be considered an advantage. What matters most is your ability to build, deliver, and maintain reliable and scalable web applications using React. Requirements

 

  • Must already be based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
  • Age between 18 – 25 years old.
  • Available to work full-time with commitment and reliability.

Your Experience

 

  • 1–2 years of hands-on React development experience.
  • Previously built or contributed to at least one functioning React-based web application.
  • Exposure to deploying and maintaining applications in production environments.

Required Skills

 

  • Proficiency in React.js for developing modern web applications.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL for data integration.
  • Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or MobX.
  • Understanding of debugging tools and performance optimization for web apps.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems (Git/GitHub or GitLab).

Good to Have

 

  • Experience with Next.js or other React frameworks for server-side rendering.
  • Familiarity with Node.js or Express for backend integration.
  • Knowledge of UI frameworks like Material-UI, TailwindCSS, or Bootstrap.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Firebase.
  • Any formal paper qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
