PNG DoF E-Receipting MIS Launch

On 3 May 2024, the Department of Finance launched the pilot of the GoPNG Non-Tax Online Receipting System, a major leap toward digital revenue collection in Papua New Guinea. Cloudcode PNG contributed to the development of this multi-phase digital platform, designed to transform how citizens pay fees and receive receipts for government services. The platform offers secure online payments via BSP Pay (cardless), with future integration for mobile banking (*131#) and Internet Payment Gateway (IPG). It includes separate portals for customers, agencies, and finance administrators—streamlining receipts, reporting, and reconciliation processes. This initiative supports PNG’s Medium-Term Development Plan and strategic priorities for revenue modernization and digital transformation Department of Finance Deputy Secretary Margaret Tenakanai emphasized that the system simplifies receipt verification and payment methods, reflecting the government’s commitment to innovation and efficiency. BSP COO Nuni Kulu praised the collaboration, highlighting BSP’s contribution to delivering market-fit digital payment infrastructure. Read more on Department of Finance website here.
